Sentinel ready to 'Send It All'
Whether it's your first time or tenth time, speccing a custom bike always seems to bring that rush. Choosing exactly what parts you want based on performance, looks, and what your friends have recommended tend to yield a very purpose driven build. At Pro Bike Supply we are lucky enough to see many rad custom builds each week and we want to do a better job of highlighting some of our most rad builds each month.
This rider wanted to tackle everything from the steeps here in Laguna to well groomed bike park jumps in BC. For that he chose the Transition Sentinel and gave it the full special treatment!
Starting off, it's a large Glacier White Sentinel framset. It retained the stock Rockshox Super Deluxe Ultimate rear shock and 150mm of rear travel. This is paired with a Fox 36 Podium Gold 160mm fork for a supported and blingy front end.
The bike is rolling on a set of Nox Farlow rims laced up to some Chris King hubs. Maxxis Minion DHF EXO / DHR II EXO tires keep pedaling a little easier and make sure everything stays rubber side down.
Stopping is taken care of by a set of Hope Tech V4 Brakes mated with Galfer 203mm Rotors. Shifting is kept “old school’ by opting for a cable actuated X01 Eagle. This keep everything light, from weight to shift actuation. Although it's not the newest product on the market, it's still a shop favorite.
Chris King is seen again with an Inset 2 headset in black to match the hubs. A Raceface Turbine R 40mm Stem and OneUp Components 35mm Rise Carbon bar keep the cockpit feeling direct and comfortable.
One thing is for sure, and that's that this bike is ready to party! No trail to tame or too wild for this rig, just fun waiting around each corner.
