Nox Composites Citico 700C Carbon Tubeless Gravel/CX Disc Rim
Introducing the Citico rim; named after the Citico wilderness area in the Smoky Mountains. An area with endless amounts of gravel and dirt roads, creek crossings, climbs, and descents. The Citico rim was originally designed with these places in mind, but Nox ended up with an ideal CX race rim as well.
The Citico is a disc specific hooked rim with an internal rim width of 23mm. The Citico features Nox's innovative design and technologies including asymmetrical offset, UniWeave™ layup, RockGuard™ bead lip and our Anti-Burp Bump™, all of which work together to provide the ultimate in stiffness, durability, compliance, and tubeless compatibility at the lowest weight possible. Leveraging their experience producing durable carbon mountain rims, the Citico is ready to tackle the harsh conditions of all day adventure riding, gravel grinding and CX racing.
With a lot of similarities between the Citico, Falkor 36D, and Skyline 29, you may be wondering which is right for me? In short, the Citico is the most ideal for all around use on a CX bike. It's beaded hook allows you to run higher pressures than the Skyline 29 mountain rim, and it is substantially lighter than the more aerodynamic Falkor 36D. If you never plan to run more than 50psi, consider the hookless Skyline. If you want a rim that is equally at home on the road and dirt, consider the Falkor 36D.
Because it is a hooked rim design, the Citico rim will allow a max psi of 90. For tubed applications we recommend tires 28mm or wider. For tubeless, we recommend a minimum width of 33mm and a tire specifically designed to be run tubeless.
