Loading... Please wait...Niner Jet 9 Industry Nine XTR Build
![]() |
This build was a lot of fun! The customer loves to climb but wanted to go with a full suspension 29er that wasn’t going to weigh a ton. With that in mind we started with the Niner Jet 9 chasse. The customer was ready to transition away from his current 9-speed XTR drivetrain so the XTR 10-speed setup was an easy choice. At this point, we knew it was going to be a lighter bike so the OEM black Rockshox Reba XX fork was added to the build. |
This fork comes in at a fantastic weight and comes with a remote lockout on the handle bar. Durability is always a
factor with any lighter weight bike so the custom designed Industry Nine wheels were chosen to keep the bike on the
trails for years and make it a serious climbing machine! Rounding out the cockpit included Niner carbon bars clamped
to a Thomson stem. To match, a Thomson seatpost was setup with the Fizik Gobi XM saddle. The customer had some
issues finding the right seat so after riding the Gobi on his old bike, this choice was made. Last but not least, to keep
the 29er wheels biting the trail, the Schwalbe Racing Ralphs were chosen in the 29”X2.25” spec. All that’s left is to fit
the rider, cut the cables... and ride!
